Péter Molnár, PhD
CEO and founder of HD Composite Zrt.
Péter Molnár was born in 1976 in Hungary. In 1999, he finished his BSc Engineering studies at Kecskemét University in Hungary, and in 2002, he obtained Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). He was working as a research engineer and continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Kaiserslautern (IVW, Germany). The topic of his PhD thesis was dedicated to the textile preforming techniques for LCM technologies. In 2007, he successfully defended his thesis and became a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr.-Ing.). As a CEO of the Sphere Consulting Kft. he was working on polymer technology R&D, innovation management and adult education programs. Dr. Molnár finished his business economy studies at the János Kodolányi University (Hungary) in 2011. From 2011 until the end of 2016 Dr. Molnár was working as a Technical Director at Nanotechnological Center of Composites in Moscow, Russia. He managed to develop many technical competences in various composite production techniques such as VA-RTM, SMC, Pultrusion, Filament winding, LFI and Injection Molding. The projects involved both pure R&D programs and high series production establishment with different ISO certification requirements. One of the most distinguished projects successfully led by Dr. Molnár was the GFRP composite city bus body development and production. This project was rewarded with JEC World Innovation Award in 2016. From 2016 till 2019 Dr. Molnár was working as a Vice-President of Bus and Composite divisions at evopro and IKARUS Egyedi groups, Hungary.

Péter Pomlényi
Head of R&D Department
Péter Pomlényi was born in 1968 in Budapest, Hungary. In 1992 he graduated in Master of Science in Engineering studies at the Technical University of Budapest, as a Chemical engineer-manager. In 1996 he obtained BSc Degree of Mechanical engineering in automotive industrial specialization from Széchenyi István University, Győr (Hungary).
He was working as a Research Engineer at Furukawa Electric Technology Institute, Budapest (Hungary) from 2001 to 2010. His professional work embraces development of plastic foams and foaming technologies, machine design, prototyping, mechanical and heat transfer simulations (rolling, deep drawing, mechanics of composites, modeling of the aging of soldering metals and grids of lead-acid batteries).
Between 2010 and 2017 he was the head of the Advanced Materials and Technologies group at Furukawa Electric Technology Institute, Budapest (Hungary). His management responsibilities ranged from identifying problematic issues of partners, setting up the optimal working group, planning, implementing and evaluating of R&D projects.
From January of 2018 to June of 2019 Peter works for evopro systems engineering Ltd. as a Research Engineer of a key development program, which is dedicated to T-RTM process with e-caprolactam in-situ polymerization for high series production of automotive components.
Currently Peter is the Head of R&D Department at HD Composite. He is working on the R&D program for T-RTM technology started by evopro and other projects initialized by customers.
Orsolya Semperger
Head of Material Research Department
Orsolya Semperger was born in 1991 in Hungary. In 2015, she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Design Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). In 2017, she graduated in Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). She started to work at evopro systems engineering Ltd. as a research developer in the field of material research. As a member of the development team she was working on the development of class A surface of PA6, which was produced by in-situ polymerization from caprolactam with T-RTM technology. It is corresponding to various properties such as scratch and abrasion resistance, UV resistance, reduction of water absorption and control of shrinkage with different fillers. After one year spent in the industry, she continued her studies at Géza Pattantyús-Ábrahám Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary. The topic of her PhD dissertation is polymer material development.
Currently Orsolya is the Head of Material Research Department at HD Composite Zrt. She is working on the R&D program for T-RTM technology started by evopro. The project was rewarded with JEC World Innovation Award in 2019.
Gergely Hegedűs, PhD
Head of Mechanical Engineering Department
Gergely Hegedűs was born in 1982 in Hungary. In 2006, he finished his studies at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Hungary, and he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Design Engineering. As a part of the development team of Kentech Kft. he was working on wood modification technology R&D, awarded with the Novelty Award of Construma Construction Trade Fair, and Special Award of the Innolignum Wood Trade Fair. From 2009 until 2018, he was working mainly for the automotive industry to design and construct special purpose machines and equipment. The awards and qualifications obtained demonstrate the professional success of this period (1st prize in the competitions of design engineers on Design Contest 2011 and Design Contest 2012, organized by Graphit Ltd; Certified Professional Solidworks Mechanical Design - C-A4B6C84V2X and Certified PDM Professional Administrator - C-L4W9VCG8WA). In 2013, as the head of design engineering, he left his former company (Kvalix Automatika Kft.) and started working at evopro group. One of the most distinguished projects he participated in was the development of an electric, composite city bus. This Project was rewarded with JEC World Innovation Award in 2016. After nine years spent in the industry, he continued his studies at Géza Pattantyús-Ábrahám Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary. The topic of his PhD dissertation was dedicated to polymer composites. In 2019, he successfully defended his thesis and became a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr.-Ing.).
Dr. Hegedűs is the ext. expert consultant of HD Composite Zrt.
Zoltán Réthy, PhD
Head of Quality, Security, Health Protection and Environment Management
Zoltán Réthy was born in 1971 in Szászrégen.
In 1996, he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Environment at the University of Gödöllő (Hungary).
In 1997, at the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon (France), he got a Degree of in-Depth Studies in Waste Management and in 2001, he successfully defended his thesis dedicated to the study of the leaching behaviour of a hydraulic binder-based material that contains soluble pollutants and the role of the solid/liquid contact conditions and became a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr.-Ing.).
From 2001 to 2007, he was working in Budapest (Hungary) at Michelin Tyre Manufacturing as an EHS Manager and Industrial Organizer in Truck Tyre Production Activity. Between 2007 and 2008, as a Quality Manager Trainee in Semi-Finished Production Activities in Clermont-Fd. (France). From 2009 till 2014, as a Quality Manager in Semi-Finished Production Activities in Nyíregyháza (Hungary). Between 2014 and 2017, as a Quality Manager in Textile Components Production Activity in Clermont-Fd. (France), then from 2017 to 2019 as an EHS Coordinator in Logistic/Warehouse & Headquarter Activities in Michelin Hungary.
From 2019 till 2020, he was working at Somarest SRL (part of Louis Vuitton Group) as a Quality Manager in Leather Goods Manufacturing.
For 3 months, he was a Quality Manager at Biotech GmbH-Hungary in Implantable Medical Devices Production.
Currently he is the Head of Quality, Security, Health Protection and Environment Management at HD Composite Zrt.
Mór Hajas
Production Director
He has more than 20 years hands on worldwide experience in manufacturing of composites mainly for marine and wind industries. He is an experienced operation and project manager, led and managed large multi-cultural teams of craftsmen.
He is a well-known expert in the field of plug and mold design as well as production management of all kind of composites, plugs and molds, products from small boats up to luxury large yachts, wind blades and its components using lamination techniques, including wet-layup, vacuum infusion, pre-preg, RTM and Sprint.
Péter Bayer
Project & Sales Manager
Péter Bayer was born in 1980 in Hungary. He studied Civil Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Hungary. While finishing his master’s degree, he began to work as a construction manager and gained experiences in leadership through this.
Later on, he became a leader of the Project Leads Business department with a focus on leading the sales team in B2B cooperation. He has extensive experience in sales, education, marketing, business development, and the organization of professional events.
Even to this day, he continues his studies in project management, business coaching, and organisational development consultancy.
He has been dealing with innovation management since 2017, so he has considerable experience in starting new businesses, launching technological projects, research and development, venture capital acquisition, and market entry best practices.
In Bayer’s professional opinion, innovation equals teamwork, so he considers excellent cooperation to be of the utmost importance.
Orsolya Pető
Office Manager
Orsolya Pető graduated from the College for Finance and Accountancy in 1997. Besides gaining degree in Economics, she became a certified public accountant. She started her career at the Central European University as the personal assistant of the budget director. Further on, as budget officer, she was participating at the budget planning process, and was also coordinating the use of research and travel grants. In 2004 she obtained a postgraduate Economist degree at the University of Technology and Economics. After spending a year in Vienna, Austria as consultant for BOC Group providing Business Process Management solutions, Orsolya returned to Budapest, and began to work for the multinational market research company MEMRB Ltd. Her tasks included conducting of store planning projects and supporting the subsidiaries across CEE and MENA regions. Following maternity leave Orsolya joined the team of the HD Composite Zrt. as Office Manager. Through the experiences of Hungarian and international stages mentioned above Orsolya became proficient at providing assistance to the management, planning and organization of conferences, trainings, business trips and different types of internal and external events, designing and updating marketing materials as well as fulfilling the office related administrative, financial and procurement duties.
